Every month at MVCA a new star is born! This month we celebrate and appreciate volunteer Nick Stag. He can act, he can sing, he can dance, and above all else he is a huge supporter of the arts. His motto and adage, his battle cry if you will is “Art for everyone, by Everybody.” You may recognize him as one of the three Christmas Carls who brought us the gift of voice and cheer through caroling around the town during Christmas in Little Falls this past December. If you haven’t heard of his participatory art projects you can get a glimpse on instagram @everybodytheartistWhen Nick isn’t helping out his artist friends or the center with various art projects and art related events you can catch him in the MVCA Gift Shop most Thursdays. He’s got a positively unique and catchy vibe so be prepared to feel seen and heard, and overall good about yourself after having a conversation with this amazing human. It is artists and members of the community like Stag who remind us why we’re all doing what we’re doing in the first place, who let us know at the end of the day what matters is that we show up for each other when we’re needed, ourselves included, and sometimes just simply when we’d like that reminder that we’re not alone.
