Meet the Artist - Noelle Macgonigle

Noelle MacGonigle is a well-established artist in the Ballston Lake area of New York. Her work ranges from abstract to subtle, sensitive scenes and includes science fiction, outer space and celestial geodes in the process.

Growing up in Catskill, NY, Noelle was very aware of the beauty of the land around her – especially the physical world and the sky. It was her mother, an artist herself, who inspired Noelle by giving her a “push” to express herself through art. And it worked. From 1999 to 2003 Noelle went to Ulster Community College, studying Graphic Design, Photography and Fine Arts.

In 2004, Noelle moved to Albany, NY. She loved her art. She also loved her engineering classes. Noelle attended classes at RPI while attending HVCC in Troy studying math, science and engineering. It all tied in to the art that was always a part of her life.

While she has a regular job, she finds time to create art. Noelle has had the opportunity to display her work at various expositions in the Capital Region for approximately 15 years. During this time, she has been involved with artists regularly – meeting in coffee shops critiquing each other’s work, meeting at homes to work together on their art. In the past, the group showed their work in Albany on the 1st Friday of the month; in Schenectady on the 3rd Friday of the month at Proctor.

Her work has also been on display at the Art Centric Gift Gallery in Troy, and the Market Place Gallery and the Upstate Artist Guild in Albany. Noelle also showed her work at 4 Central Avenue, which was another art venue in Albany.

Noelle has just finished a large mural, 10 feet wide x 4 feet tall, that will be framed for the opening of the 4th Floor at the Inn at Stone Mill in Little Falls this summer. It is a stunning abstract that brings you even closer to the world around each of us.
