Mosaic Crochet Workshop with instructor John Dean Ossowski

Instructor and needlework virtuoso John Dean Ossowski brings MVCA a brand new workshop! If you want to learn an easy crochet technique that produces stunning results then this workshop is for you. Mosaic crochet involves combining simple stitches (single and double crochet) to create an infinite variety of color-work patterns – suitable for blankets, pillow covers, handbags, and other projects. In this course, students will learn the basics of this technique and how to read a mosaic crochet pattern chart. Students will also be introduced to finishing techniques particular to this method of crochet. Upon class completion, students will have a small sample piece they can use as a mug rug or as part of a larger project.
NOTE: This class is best suited for the intermediate-beginner crocheter. Students should know how to make chain stitches, single crochet, and double crochet.
