MVCA invites you to the DONNA VEEDER SHOWCASE AND SILENT AUCTION at The Venue at
Stone Mill, located at Canal Place, on June 1st, 2024, from 6PM-9PM in honor of Artist Donna
Veeder.
DONNA VEEDER always said, when the time came, her personal artwork was to be given to the
MVCA for sale to support the work of the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts. The time has
come. Please join us to celebrate Donna’s life and legacy and the work of the MVCA! Donna’s
longtime involvement with MVCA remained to the end.
Donna was born and brought up in Nashville, where she studied commercial art at Hume-Fogg
Technical High School. She received her BFA degree from The University of Georgia at Athens
in 1958, and later became a resident of the Mohawk Valley with her husband, Nicholas Veeder.
Whether she was teaching children in school, or adults for 17 years at the MVCA, Donna was a
treasure to all who knew her. She challenged herself as she taught her students, young and old.
She painted portraits locally to support art. She went to China to study art. The result is an
incredible exhibit.
Please join us on June 1st to support the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts
