CLASS TITLE: Mosaic Crochet

DESCRIPTION: Want to learn an easy crochet technique that produces stunning results? Mosaic crochet involves combining simple stitches (single and double crochet) to create an infinite variety of colorwork patterns – suitable for blankets, pillow covers, handbags, and other projects. In this course, students will learn the basics of this technique and how to read a mosaic crochet pattern chart. Students will also be introduced to finishing techniques particular to this method of crochet. Upon class completion, students will have a small sample piece they can use as a mug rug or as part of a larger project.
MATERIALS: Students should bring 2 balls of yarn (worsted weight) in contrasting colors, along with a crochet hook of suitable size (suggested size H or I), scissors and a needle (for weaving in ends – optional)
FEE: $35.00
STUDENTS: At least 4 but no more than 6 students.
NOTE: This class is best suited for the intermediate-beginner crocheter. Students should know how to make chain stitches, single crochet, and double crochet.
