Glove City Lofts, a 75-unit affordable housing complex currently under construction, is prioritizing members of the arts community and will be ready for artistic tenants in spring 2025! Applications will be available soon for 47 one-bedroom units and 28 two-bedroom units.
The building includes a bike room, laundry facilities, and community rooms where artists can hone their craft and collaborate with others on new works. Additionally, the main floor will boast a 2,000-square-foot gallery providing artists with a dedicated space to highlight their work. Conveniently located at 52 Church Street, these living quarters are a short two-block walk away from art galleries, a historic theatre, an entertainment venue, and other sites that welcome creativity.
The artists who live in this new facility will become part of Gloversville’s creative economy and we welcome artists from all disciplines. Musicians, visual artists, actors, singers, culinary creators, graphic designers, and more are invited to apply for this housing and to become part of our vibrant community.
