Beginning Digital Drawing for Ages 14+ with Leslie Kubica March 18, 2PM-4PM.
Have you ever wanted to transform your drawings into a dynamic digital illustration? This step-by-step course will show you the basics of digital drawing. With educator and professional illustrator, Leslie Kubica, you will learn about the drawing tools available in Procreate, a digital drawing software for the ipad. Students will use both digital and traditional mediums to explore narrative techniques and inspire illustrations that tell a story to a chosen audience. Following the NYS Arts Standards, students will create, present, respond and connect as they learn about this exciting drawing tool!

Technology Requirements: Students MUST provide their own devices and download Procreate, a digital drawing software, prior to beginning of this class. Procreate costs $10.99 for the ipad and is compatible with several generations of the ipad. Other software and devices are welcome as long as the student has a basic understanding of its functionality and the appropriate device for running the program. A stylus (like an apple pencil) is encouraged, but not required.

Leslie Kubica is an educator and professional illustrator from Little Falls, New York. Currently teaching grades 9-12 Visual Art at Central Valley Academy, she has worked in both Art and Music Education for over fifteen years. Leslie is a fun teacher who engages her student’s interests and meets them where they are when approaching the creative process.
