MVCA welcomed several aspiring artists on March 1 to our program to discuss their painting and photography submissions. Kirsten hopes to learn how to become part of the art world and is looking for inspiration and new skills. Aspiring photographer Jordan wants to be more serious about his photography and believes MVCA is the right place to start. Thomas, a visual artist, who serendipitously stopped in, hopes to expand on what he is currently doing for the simple pleasure of it.

There are two more sessions scheduled for new artists to bring samples of their work to MVCA for guidance and encouragement of the creative process. In addition, participants will receive assistance on the best ways to write a biography, submit work to exhibits or juried shows and how to hone their craft. The program is free and open to artists 18 years and older.

Next sessions: Thursday, March 2, 6-8PM, or Sunday, March 5, 1-3PM.
