Our autumn 2010 Sunday afternoon Chamber Music Series, “Sundays at Three”, brings a variety of musical offerings.
September 26th
William Simcoe-Classical Guitarist
Joseph & Teresa Lee’s Residence, 528 Garden Street, Little Falls.
William Simcoe is a soloist, accompanist, ensemble leader and organizer, and recording artist from Albany, New York. In the Albany area he has performed in venues including Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, the Linda Norris Auditorium, Caffe Lena, The Hyde Collection, Red Square, 70 Beekman Street Art Gallery and Kripalu Center. He has performed in Florida, Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Jersey. In 2006 he performed at the Ordu International Guitar Festival in Ordu, Turkey. In 2008 he performed for the Classical Guitar Academy of Milan. He has two recordings distributed by Eroica Classical Recordings, “Studies, Memories & Moons” and “Mis Suenos de Tango”. He has performed with guitarists from around the world including Argentine guitarist Jose Luis Merlin, Brazilian guitarist Marcos Vinicius, and French guitarist Thiblult Cauvin. He has performed with cellist Lisa Nielson as Spiral Duo. He performs with flautist Elisabeth Williams as Spiral Tango. He is one of the founders of the Classical Guitar Society to Upstate New York, and is a past president of the capital District Classical Guitar Society. He is the president of the Monday Musical Club of Albany.

Scott Marosek-Piano
Matt Roehrich -Saxophone

Pianist Scott Marosek performs regularly as a soloist and collaborative artist. His performances in China, Israel, and throughout the United States have included appearances at such renowned venues as Xinghai Hall, the Jerusalem Music Centre, and the Meyerson Symphony Center. He has also performed several solo recitals sponsored by the Van Cliburn Foundation, and has appeared as a concerto soloist with the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra and the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Marosek is currently an Assistant Professor of Music at Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC, where he teaches piano and music history.
Matt Roehrich is an accomplished jazz and classical saxophonist and music educator. He studied under Dr. Andy Dahlke at the University of Northern Colorado and Dr. Jeff Bair at East Carolina University, earning an MM in Saxophone Performance and a BM in Jazz Studies, respectively. He has given recitals, conducted master classes, and served as a clinician throughout the east coast and in Colorado, including performances with the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra and Downbeat aware-winning composer Chie Imaizumi. Roehrich is currently the saxophone instructor at Methodist University, and is also on the faculty of the Snyder Music Academy in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
November 21st
Beth Lytwynec, Mezzo Soprano
The Gilbert Mansion, 36 Prospect Street, Little Falls
Originally from Upstate New York and a graduate of Ilion High School, Beth began studying voice at the age of sixteen, taking lessons with soprano Anita Firman, a Lecturer in Voice at Hamilton College. After studying with Patty Thom, the chair of Voice and Opera at the Boston Conservatory, for the duration of her undergraduate work, Beth continues her vocal studies at the conservatory with Dr. Rebecca Folsom as she pursues a Master of Music degree in Opera Performance.
Recently, Ms. Lytwynec has portrayed the title role of Handel’s Serse, Mme.de la Haltiere in Massenet.s Cendrillon, Marcellina in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, Mrs. Grose in Britten’s The Turn of the Screw, Diko in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, and Lampito in Seagle Music Colony’s production of Adamo’s Lysistrata. In the spring of 2010, Ms. Lytwynec will be performing the role of Romeo in Bellini’s I Capuleti ei Montecchi at The Boston Conservatory.

The Renaissance Chamber Orchestra

The newly formed Renaissance Chamber Orchestra will perform a concert of Chamber Music and Holiday Favorites.
All Concerts start at 3:00pm.
Tickets prices are $12 for non-members, $10 for members, $5 for students.
